Creative Assembly Announces Total War: Three Kingdoms

Creative Assembly Announces Total War: Three Kingdoms

Now, with the cat out of the bag and Three Empires on track for launch later in 2018, it looks as if Total War devotees and turn-based strategy diehards will have plenty to keep them busy this year. In 190 CE, China is under the tyrant Dong Zhuo who wields his power through the puppet child-emperor.

The game is set in ancient China were the various kingdoms are struggling to unite the country under "a single banner".

Of course, this is the far from the first video game to be based on the Three Kingdoms era. Three heroes will swear allegiance to one another and rise up with the support of warlords from great families, banding together to challenge him. Will they triumph against the tyrant, or will personal ambition shatter their already crumbling alliance and drive them to supremacy?

Man Utd in tit-for-tat ticket-price war with Sevilla
The move comes after United bosses were left fuming when the Spanish club announced it would be charging fans travelling to Sevilla nearly £90 to watch the last 16 clash next month.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is due for release this autumn, and it'll be interesting to see how much Sega tries to push it in China itself.

The team at Creative Assembly has lifted the veil on its next project.

While Total War fans may have anxious that developer Creative Assembly had gotten side-tracked by fantastical games like its Warhammer series, it promised a year ago that a new historical game was in the works. The company develops and distributes interactive entertainment software products for a variety of hardware platforms including PC, wireless devices, and those manufactured by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe. However, Creative Assembly and publisher Sega have released a cinematic announcement trailer, which serves to establish what kind of state the nation was in at the time.
