Warmer temp during the week; soaking rain for Friday

Light rain will continue through the morning and afternoon.

Roads will likely be slick and could remain slick through a good portion of the day with temperatures falling through the 20s all day long.

Freezing drizzle early Wednesday morning could make for slippery driving conditions in Madison during rush hour, with rain or snow continuing into Thursday. Temperatures will begin in the low to mid 50's and fall to freezing or below by evening drive time.

Cornerback Xavier Rhodes was named first team All-Pro after holding Antonio Brown , Julio Jones , Odell Beckham Jr . and A.J. Newton was cleared in a medical tent on the sidelines to return to the game and only missed one play following the hit.

We'll start the day out in the upper teens and low-20s.

Friday: Cloudy with an 80% chance for rain changing over to a wintry mix in the afternoon. This could allow for some brief snow showers across Mid-Missouri with possibly a dusting of snow.

Temperatures rising from very early in the morning will put us right smack dab into the warmest air we've seen in awhile, with lower and middle 50s expected for afternoon highs. Friday we will be overcast with a 70% chance of rain throughout the day with areas nearing the 70s by the afternoon. Temperatures will be mild through the start of the day with highs in the middle 40s. Temperatures could go sub-zero once again by Friday morning once the storm moves out. Rain will slowly transition to a wintry mix, then to snow as cold air settles into the region. There's a slight chance rain could end as a mix/snow Saturday evening.
