Boca president responds to reports of £27m Arsenal move for star man

Pavon has a 30 million euros release clause in his deal at Boca and Arsene Wenger is willing to meet it.

The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Argentina.

The arrival of Tevez has encouraged talk that Boca could cash in on Pavon during the transfer window.

But, another interesting report is the presence of a £27 million release clause in his deal, which could encourage Arsenal.

Pavon has been with Boca Juniors since joining the club in 2014 and has been impressing this season with 3 goals and 6 assists in his 12 appearances while he's also broken in to the Argentinean national team squad.

Sanchez has not signed a new contract with Arsenal and, according to ESPN FC sources, the Chile global could join Manchester City later this week.

At 21 and having never experienced European football, Pavon would represent a risk.

Is this another target lined up by Arsenal's Sven Mislintat?

The Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is going to continue seeing improvements, too. The PC version hit version 1.0 on December 22 and the release included the new desert map.

Right-footed and often deployed on the right wing for Boca, Pavon can also play on the left side of the attack, cutting inside onto his stronger foot.

While his finishing is not yet as refined as Sanchez's, the Argentina global is more than capable of contributing in front of goal, too.

Outlet TyC claims that the London side are leading the list of interested clubs in the player, and would be keen on paying his US$37m (€31m) release clause.

Even with the inherent risk of signing a player from South America, such a fee would represent a steal for a player of Pavon's undeniable quality and sky-high future potential.

However, when asked about the rumours, Boca president Daniel Angelici stated: 'For the moment, we have not received any proposal, formally or informally.

Boca Juniors have denied receiving an offer from Arsenal for striker Cristian Pavon.

'But I know very well what I said to Cristian when we renewed his contract.

However, Chambers only signed a new two-year contract extension in October, which suggests the club do still have faith in him to make the grade at the Emirates Stadium.
