Evan Blass reveals key HTC U11 EYEs specs, renders and expected pricing

Industry sources had earlier revealed that HTC would switch its focus from high-end segment to mid-tire segment in this year.

It's only a few months ago that the midrange HTC U11 Life was unveiled and it appears the company is getting ready to launch another midranger dubbed HTC U11 EYEs.

HTC is teasing the launch of a smartphone in China next week, on Monday, January 15.

The company has teased the launch of the upcoming smartphone on Weibo. The teaser has a reference to the word "EYE", leaving us no room for doubt. While not much information is available about the camera specification, from the renders of the phone, it seems that there will be a dual camera setup on the front.

With the main theme "Eyes", HTC stated on its official Facebook page today, Jan 12, that the event for its next phone would take place next week.

An industry insider had revealed in September that HTC would be launching Ocean Master, Ocean Lite and Ocean Harmony smartphones in 2017.

Little details about the expected display and camera specification have also been rumored.

Other specs include 64 GB of expandable storage, an IP67 rating for protection against water, and Edge Sense that lets you open an app of choice by squeezing the device. Besides, there is also onboard the superb aspect ratio of 18:9 while it rocks the all-new Super LCD-5 display panel.

The Harmony will ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and 4GB of RAM, which should give it the power it needs to handle most any task with a good amount of speed. The device will reportedly come with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The device is speculated to be backed up a large 3,930mAh battery for keeping the lights on.
