Jaguars defeat Bills 10-3

"That's usually not ideal for a quarterback", Bortles said when asked if he envisioned himself having more rushing yards than passing yards in a playoff game. He ran for 88 yards, becoming the second starting quarterback in the past 25 years to win a playoff game with more rushing yards than passing.

Rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman, a Bartram Trail grad, ran for 4 yards on the ensuing fourth-and-3 play. Taylor completed 17 of 37 passes on the day for 134 yards and one interception. On the Jaguars' first seven possessions, they punted six times and gained only 110 total yards. They held the Bills to 3 points, and a clutch offensive pass interference drawn by Jalen Ramsey at the goal line probably kept the Bills out of the endzone. The Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Pittsburgh Steelers (13-3) on the road in the Divisional Round next Sunday.

Bortles led the Jaguars to a 10-6 record, AFC South title and wild-card win by being efficient with the football. Dede Westbrook was the Jaguars leading receiver with five receptions for 48 yards receiving.

The Jaguars - who were playing in their first post-season match since 2007 - took the lead for the first time in the match after Bortles found tightend Ben Koyack to complete a 15-play for 86 yards in the third quarter.

Here are some more quick notes from Jacksonville's first playoff win at home since 2000.

Bortles is 11 of 21 for 85 yards while Fournette has 55 yards on 14 carries. On the ground, Leonard Fournette rushed for 56 yards on 22 attempts. Their first conversion would come on a Blake Bortles quarterback sneak.

NOTES: Buffalo S Micah Hyde (concussion) and CB Tre'Davious White (cramps) left the game. In a slog of a game, the Bills couldn't manage more than field goal as it pertains to scoring, falling 10-3.

Buffalo lost its first playoff game since 1999 because of a familiar storyline-lack of offensive punch.

The hero of the game we're going to celebrate instead: Blake Bortles and his rarely-before-seen rushing ability. Taylor was his typically inconsistent self as a passer, and he got nearly no help from his teammates as gimpy-ankled LeSean McCoy was the only threat the Bills had.

Roku to join voice-assistant race
One advantage Roku has in its own space is that it already has a voice-operated remote control that could execute simple commands. The home entertainment licensing program will give manufacturers the ability to license the Roku OS to develop smart speakers .

The Bills, too, had a chance from the 1-yard line. McCoy accounted for almost a third of Buffalo's offensive production in the regular season. Receiver/punt returner Jaydon Mickens left with a hamstring injury and did not return.

The Bills also will have receiver Deonte Thompson (shoulder) available.

"They were the better team that day", said Artie Burns. With one playoff victory behind us, here are our five biggest takeaways from the Bills-Jags' wild-card thriller.

"The competition is great", Goodell said. They own four picks in the first two rounds, including the Kansas City Chiefs' first-round pick and the Los Angeles Rams' second-round selection. "I think I've got enough to get there", he said.

Sunday marked the Jaguars' first postseason game in a decade, and their first home postseason game in 18 years.

The Bills won a playoff spot when the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens in the last week of the regular season.

The nightcap features the fourth-seeded New Orleans Saints (11-5) and the No. 5 seed Carolina Panthers (11-5) at the Superdome.

The scrappy win means the Jags will meet the Pittsburgh Steelers in the next round. "I feel like I'm in Buffalo, New York".
