Trump Disbands Voter 'Fraud' Commission

It was reported on Wednesday that Donald Trump dissolved his commission that was set up to investigate allegations of #voter fraud due to too many states not complying with the administration's request from information.

The White House said that "many states have refused to provide the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity with basic information relevant to its inquiry". The American Civil Liberties Union is challenging the Kansas laws, and the U.S. Court of Appeals has blocked the laws from being implemented until the case is litigated. A total of 44 states refused Trump's voter data requests on grounds that disclosing the data would constitute an invasion of privacy of its citizens.

And the Association of Secretaries of State - which includes both Democratic and Republican members - said in a statement in January 2017 after Trump's claims of voter fraud that they were "not aware of any evidence that supports the voter fraud claims made by President Trump". Trump's statement gave no indication what could happen to the sensitive voter files in the commission's possession, which the GAO said number in the tens of millions. "Push hard for Voter Identification!" he posted on the social networking site.

Secretary of State Jon Husted has said voter fraud does exist in OH, but it's rare.

Trump claimed three million to five million people voted illegally in the election brought him to the White House thanks to an Electoral College win.

Most Active Volume Stock: Domino's Pizza, Inc. (DPZ)
Eight investment analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and fourteen have assigned a buy rating to the company's stock. It is negative, as 22 investors sold DIN shares while 34 reduced holdings. 89 funds opened positions while 397 raised stakes.

There simply isn't any credible evidence that voter fraud is a significant problem. "But rather than address these real threats to election integrity, the commission engaged in a wild-goose chase for voter fraud, demonizing the very American voters whom we should all be helping to participate - with the not-so-secret goal of making voting harder with unnecessary barriers". "System is rigged, must go to Voter I.D.", Trump tweeted.

Trump issued an executive order decommissioning the group he had previously charged with looking into the 2016 election. "I had serious doubts about the commission's credibility and trustworthiness", he said Wednesday.

Ohio's GOP secretary of state, Jon Husted, was also among almost half the states showing resistance, stressing that confidential information about voters "will not be provided to the commission". "Virginia conducts fair, honest, and democratic elections, and there is no evidence of significant voter fraud in Virginia".

"The commission's entire objective was to legitimize voter suppression", said Vanita Gupta, the president of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and former head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division.
