Tyronn Lue: 'We've Got to Get Rid of Our Agendas'

With these teams vying for the top spot, head-to-head wins and losses are important - especially if a tiebreak occurs at the end of the season.

The Cavaliers lost 127-99 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night, and they followed it up with a loss to the Toronto Raptors last night at the Air Canada Center by an even worse scoreline of 133-99. They won't need reminding, though, that Cleveland has dumped them from the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.

"That was just us trying to figure it out", he said. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde at times.

Cleveland should have been able to break out of their recent funk with Kyle Lowry (injury) and Serge Ibaka (suspension) not playing.

"I don't know where it kind of went wrong or what happened", James said.

Sometimes, the Raptors have shown that they can get off to strong starts against a team like Cleveland but there have been times where they let the foot off the gas and the game gets away from them.

As impressive as Toronto's bench scoring was in the first half, it was the defence that really stifled Cleveland and allowed the Raptors to jump out to a 25-point halftime lead.

It's the 615th game on the schedule, and one far more interesting than the 616th game of the season between the Clippers and Kings, which kicks off the second half of the season.

James finished with 26 points for Cleveland who have lost six of eight games going back to a defeat to defending champion Golden State on Christmas Day. Does he "like" seeing his former team in disarray, or does he "like" seeing his former teammate stepping up as a leader to get his team back in order?

Kevin Love had 10 points with nine rebounds, two assists and one turnover against the Raptors on Thursday.

Jonas Valanciunas also had a big game with 15 points and a season-high 18 rebounds, while Norman Powell and DeMar DeRozan scored 14 and 13, respectively.

The Raptors look just as likely as the Celtics to challenge the Cavs' dominance in the East, as they beat them senseless even without Ibaka and Lowry, as DeMar DeRozan continues to prove that even without being the most versatile star in the National Basketball Association, he's one of the league's most unstoppable weapons.

Fred VanVleet continues to turn heads after notching a career high of 22 points with six three's, four rebounds and four assists.

So Coach Dwane Casey sought to change things. For Toronto, that means Ibaka will not be in uniform for their game against Cleveland, one in which they are already expected to be without Lowry.

Multiple Sam's Club stores close without notice across nation
Local media outlets in Texas, New York, New Jersey and Arizona were some of those confirming stores being closed on Thursday. According to the statement, as many as 200 full-time and part-time employees were laid off from the closure in Linden alone.
