Dark Souls Remastered announced Nintendo Switch, PS 4, Xbox One

Dark Souls: Remastered will include the original Dark Souls game and all DLC ever released to her. Our sources say this is the closing announcement of the direct. "We are excited to watch the thriving Dark Souls community grow and support new players experiencing the title for the first time".

So, there you have it: Dark Souls: Remastered on the PS4 Pro will no longer feature HDR Lighting.

Nintendo, of course, will focus on the Switch versions of their various announcements, but as Kotaku report, a different studio is apparently focusing on PS4, Xbox One and, yes, PC versions of the remaster.

To use Bandai Namco as an example, this makes Dark Souls: Remastered on Switch a no-brainer. This will give fans a chance to play one of their old favorites, but it's the people who never played a Dark Souls before that likely attracted Bandai Namco and other companies to the Switch. Unfortunately, full support of mouse and keyboard on PC, the creators of Dark Souls Remastered did not provide any information. On the Nintendo Switch Dark Souls Remastered runs at 1080p 30 FPS on docked mode and 720p 30 FPS on portable mode. And in case of PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, the game will be upscaled to 4K resolution and 60 FPS.

It is not clear at the moment whether the initiative is valid only in the United States or even in Europe and if it involves only Steam, the Bandai Namco store or (also) other digital retailers.

When first released on PC, Dark Souls was just a port of the console version due to being rushed upon release.

Gameplay will not change much from the original.

"Dark Souls requires intense focus", he said. It's a beloved, influential game that is critically acclaimed and has a fanbase as passionate about it today as they were when it originally launched in.
