Go get 'em, Gal. The star, who knew in advance she would be accepting the #SeeHer award (a statuette given to boundary-pushing actresses), began by pointing out that the top three films of 2017-The Last Jedi, Wonder Woman, and Beauty and the Beast-were all carried by women.

The actress concluded by saying that as artists, she believes it's "not only our job to entertain, but our duty to inspire and educate for love and respect".

Another social media user wrote: "I'm not gonna ask why would she wear Elie Saab, but I'm asking why would his team post it?" She added that, in the making of "Wonder Woman", the goal was for her character to be a universal hero for all.

The generation share of hydropower was more than 7% in 2017 and is forecast to be slightly lower than 7% in both 2018 and 2019. By many estimates US production is set to take off this year - which is concerning for many other producer nations.

In a powerful acceptance speech, Gadot spoke of her character's qualities, describing it as her dream role.

The Israeli actress thanked the critics "for this fantastic honor and recognition" and thanked her "friend and sister" Patty for the award. "She's not ideal and that makes her real".

Gadot also expressed support for the current movement of people speaking out against harassment in Hollywood and beyond.

'I want to share this award with all the women and men who stand for what's right, standing for those who can't stand or speak for themselves, ' Gal said. "My promise and commitment to all of you is that I will never be silenced and we will continue to band together to make strides.for equality", she said to thunderous applause.

Gal Gadot in an Elie Saab dress as pictured in an awards show photo has prompted a backlash by some on social media who complained about the Israeli "Wonder Woman" actress wearing a garment from a Lebanese designer.
