Missouri governor admits affair, accused of blackmailing woman with photo

Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner said Thursday that no criminal complaint has been filed against Greitens, and no evidence of a crime has been presented to her office. A bipartisan group of Missouri state senators also asked the state's attorney general to investigate the governor. But her ex-husband, who also was not named, provided an audio recording he made to KMOV in which the woman gives details about a sexual encounter she says she had with Greitens in March 2015 at his St. Louis home.

"A few years ago, before Eric was elected Governor, there was a time when he was unfaithful in our marriage", said the statement from Greitens and his wife, Sheena.

The governor's lawyer told Inside Edition the governor denies a picture was taken and says he didn't say what's attributed to him on the tape and claims there was no attempt at blackmail. He is not calling for the governor's resignation. "I think it's as bad as it gets, It's as bad as it gets when someone takes advantage of something".

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, who was elected in 2016 after running weird ads that essentially fetishized gunfire (like the Dan Bilzerian of politicos), has already found himself in a public relations nightmare. They must know that the Office of the Circuit Attorney will hold public officials accountable in the same manner as any other resident of our city.

For Greitens to survive politically, it's vital that the facts remain exactly as he said - that he had an affair and nothing more, said several Republican political consultants with decades of experience. The woman said that while she was blindfolded and restrained, Greitens snapped a photo without her consent. The Missouri Attorney General is investigating the Greitens administration's use of an app that automatically deletes text messages immediately after they have been read. The woman, who was Greitens' hairdresser, is now divorced from the man who had secretly recorded their conversation.

Oil prices retreat, but set for fourth week of gains By
The generation share of hydropower was more than 7% in 2017 and is forecast to be slightly lower than 7% in both 2018 and 2019. By many estimates US production is set to take off this year - which is concerning for many other producer nations.

The letter signed by both Democrats and Republicans called the allegations "deeply disturbing" and said a swift investigation was necessary to avoid having the matter "overpower" the 2018 legislative session. Crucially, the woman has refused to grant interviews about the affair, but that didn't stop KMOV from splashing the story just hours after the governor's State of the State speech last night.

The story was first reported by KMOV-TV, citing a recording made by the ex-husband of his wife confessing to the affair with Greitens. "I will let you know of any upcoming open press events". Update 4:20 p.m.: The calls for an investigation into Greitens' alleged blackmail have gone beyond the legislature.

"This was a deeply personal mistake", the couple posted on Twitter. "Eric took responsibility, and we dealt with this together honestly and privately", the statement said. It never happened. There was never any violence.

He thanked "God's mercy" for helping his wife Sheena forgive him. "I want the media and those who wish to peddle gossip to stay away from me and my children.' Now we know who has been peddling that gossip".
