Musician Seal Calls Oprah Winfrey A 'Part Of The Problem'

President Barack Obama's former running mate drew a combined 76 percent of "very favorable" and "somewhat favorable" ratings, while Sanders and Winfrey each clocked in at 67 percent.

We can agree that, unlike the current president, she has an excellent haircut, is not a shameless egotist and doesn't make your skin crawl whenever you see her on television, but that's just to say she would be better than President Trump, which is very faint praise.

On Wednesday, the actress and ex-Fox News darling tweeted out a fake news story about Winfrey titled "Oprah Under the Microscope: 12 Skeletons She Can No Longer Hide In Her Closet".

The 66-year-old holds many titles: educator, author, motivational speaker and businessman (CEO at that), not to mention a dad and grandpa, among other things.

I saw 10 minutes of the "Today" show yesterday, and the subject was Ms. Winfrey. The unspoken but unmistakable question was, "Wouldn't that be fun?"

We need to end the political aspirations of celebrities and political neophytes.

The "Kiss From a Rose" singer seemed to be responding to the near-universal acclaim Oprah's Golden Globes speech received on Sunday.

Have we learned nothing in the past year about the perils of electing an unqualified celebrity to the highest office in the land?

Thousands of NJ immigrants to lose legal status - Devastating, or about time?
Giridharadas' residence uninvited and demand to stay for at least 17 years under the guise of seeking "temporary" shelter. There are a lot of people who are desperately anxious about what this moment will mean for them and their families.

The vanity campaigns by the rich and famous have to end before they're even allowed to start. I mean, compared to Trump my houseplant is a viable candidate, but still, heads were turning, and Oprah has spent this week on top of the dang world.

She's donated to the Time's Up movement and gave such an engaging speech around the issue, stars like Meryl Streep called for her to run for Presidency.

The résumé the would-be candidate from IL brings to a presidential bid will prove far less important than the narrative she could weave.

"Every act of submissive worship is an act of alienation and idolatry, " the German philosopher Erich Fromm reminds us, going on to make the point that "the "loving" person in this type of submissive relationship projects all his or her love, strength, thought, into this other person, and experiences the loved person as a superior being, finding satisfaction in complete submission and worship".

His critique of the talk-show hosts position in the recent fight against sexual abuse, was written alongside a viral meme which showed two images of Oprah. "I don't think she had any intention, but now she doesn't have a choice". "If she declares, I will back her". May calmer heads prevail. Compiled by Philip Alston, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, we learn that in 2017 "more than one in every eight Americans were living in poverty (40 million, equal to 12.7 percent of the population)". They are there. On both sides. About her possible presidential run, about #MeToo, and about Time's Up, the initiate Oprah mentioned during her speech.

Oprah Winfrey would beat President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, however, most people actually do not want her to run, according to a poll released Friday.

It's been my hope that the Trump debacle would be an embarrassing footnote in our history - that we'd learn the lesson, repent and sin no more.
