Paul Ryan Slams Pelosi's Tax Reform Comments: Benefits to Workers 'Aren't Crumbs'

"You've got to remember that more than half of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, so when they get something like a $1,000 bonus at Christmastime because of this tax law, it's hardly crumbs", he added.

Laura Ingraham took on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for saying companies' bonuses to workers following the passage of the Republican tax cuts are mere "crumbs".

After Wal-Mart became the latest company to announce they would hike wages and give big bonuses to their workers, a reporter asked Pelosi: "A number of companies are attributing the tax bill for being able to give higher wages to their employees as well as being able to give a number of bonuses to their employees".

Pelosi's comment was more than just a quip.

The White House particularly highlighted an announcement by Walmart on Wednesday. "I think it's insignificant".

Gfs Advsrs Ltd Limited Liability Company owns 26,317 shares or 0.33% of their U.S. portfolio. (NASDAQ:ADSK) for 5,600 shares. Wells Fargo's net interest income in the quarter came in at $12.3 billion, down 1% on a year-over-year basis.

Walmart on Thursday joined a growing list of companies who have made a decision to share the tax cut savings with employees, announcing a plan to boost pay and give bonuses worth up to $1,000 to workers.

Southwest Airlines will use some of the savings to purchase even more planes from Boeing. "Are they going to open a hamburger stand next or what?" she said, apparently referencing the "Five Guys" burger joints.

Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) mocked the racial makeup of the meeting between Republicans and Democrats because they were "five white guys", which earned a rebuke from one of the attendees.

"That could've been done four months ago". The lack of involvement in these talks from nonwhite members of Congress delays the deal, she said, since any DACA agreement will require approval from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and other groups. "I am committed to ensuring DREAMers are protected and I will welcome everyone to the table who wants to get this done", Hoyer said to POLITICO in a statement.
