Spurs' Gregg Popovich latest to come to defense of Lakers' Luke Walton

Spurs' Gregg Popovich latest to come to defense of Lakers' Luke Walton

Despite LaVar Ball's claims that nobody wants to play for Luke Walton, the Lakers have won three straight games, including last night's victory against the San Antonio Spurs, since those comments were made.

Seeking multiple expiring contracts in return for some intriguing pieces that could use some new scenery, while keeping an eye on the 2018 summer, the Los Angeles Lakers should be one of the busiest teams this season.

Forwards LaMarcus Aldridge had 31 points and 12 rebounds and Davis Bertans scored a career-high 28 to help lead the team back from 13 points down in the second half to get the win. It will be the third straight game he has missed since he suffered a left shoulder strain against Phoenix on January 5. Danny Green is dealing with a groin injury while Tony Parker is dealing a sprained right ankle leaving both of them in doubt for Thursday, while Rudy Gay and Kawhi Leonard have already been ruled out.

With so many players missing, tonight's game is another opportunity for young players like Bertans, guard Bryn Forbes, and Kyle Anderson to get extended minutes. His shooting attempts have gone up to 10 per game while making 45 percent from the floor. They themselves recently defeated the Kings 99-86 on Tuesday.

The comments stirring controversy regarding LaVar Ball's thoughts about Lakers head coach Luke Walton may not have been a random shot for attention.

LG G7 May Bring Along LG Pay in the US
LG isn't exactly a major brand name in smartphones in the United States , and so that may ultimately limit its ability to compete. In addition to the regular NFC method, it uses Magnetic Secure Transmission or MST, a technology it acquired from LoopPay.

The former Indiana Pacers star and current TNT analyst wants Lakers president Magic Johnson to lay the smack down (figuratively, though I can't say I would mind seeing the literal interpretation either) on LaVar for his distracting the team.

Popovich told ESPN that the "substance and gravitas of the source" should be taken into account when determining the validity of an individual's opinion on basketball (or anything else, for that matter).

In 40 games this season, Kuzma is averaging 16.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

The team is now in the midst of a full rebuild and have Kuzma and young Brandon Ingram pairing to make a potential quality tandem in the frontcourt. I would usually be all over the Spurs in this matchup, but I actually think this a good spot for the Lakers to get the cover at home while the Spurs are so shorthanded.

"If obviously in some games as he continues to grow as a young player, that requires him to take over by scoring, then do that".
