'American Gods' EP Bryan Fuller Developing Anne Rice Series

Hannibal and American Gods veteran Bryan Fuller is working with novelist Anne Rice and her son Christopher Rice on the planned television adaptation of The Vampire Chronicles. "It's our great pleasure to officially announce that Bryan has become a member of the creative family working to bring the story of the vampire Lestat to television", he wrote, sharing a amusing anecdote about Fuller's longtime obsession with his mother's work.

In November of 2016, fans of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series of books were elated to discover that rights to the characters had reverted back to the author who immediately expressed her enthusiasm at turning the series into a TV show.

Said Anne Rice: "In this unique golden age of television, I couldn't ask for a finer or more passionate team to help bring my beloved vampire hero, Lestat, alive in a series of the highest quality".

Bryan Fuller has apparently found a new project after departing both Star Trek: Discovery and American Gods.

I love matchplay, especially when you have a partner like Tommy Fleetwood", said Casey, who was one of Bjorn's two wildcard selections.

Today I'm thrilled to inform you that the young man of which I speak is Bryan Fuller, who grew up to be one of television's most innovative creative forces, responsible for such an fantastic array of shows as HANNIBAL, DEAD LIKE ME and PUSHING DAISIES. It's high time we saw another Vampire Chronicles adaptation, and with the current trend for big-budget TV, you'll get all the gore and sexy vampire melodrama you could possibly want. "And those producers knew that Bryan would be a ideal addition to our creative team".

Rice's novels have been adapted to film before, first with An Interview with a Vampire in 1994 starring Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst and then in 2002 with Queen of the Damned starring Aaliyah and Stuart Townsend.

As one of the most popular vampire series, there's a constant clamor for more adaptations of the books. The second, is the announcement of this thrilling partnership with Paramount Television and Anonymous Content.
