Are Manchester City about to give up on Alexis Sanchez?

Sanchez came close to joining Manchester City in the summer but remained in north London with the Gunners unable to tempt Thomas Lemar into leaving Monaco.

Following the news last week that Philippe Coutinho had sealed his move from Liverpool to Barcelona, this week has been dominated by speculation that Alexis Sanchez is on his way to Manchester.

The runaway Premier League leaders are extremely reluctant to go above the £20m they value Sanchez at given his current contract situation.

"No, it doesn't worry me personally", the Germany worldwide said in quotes reported by The Guardian.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has conceded Alexis Sanchez could leave this month as long as he can bring in a replacement as he prepares for life after the Chile global.

Addressing the reported interest in right-sided specialist Malcom, Wenger said, per Goal's Chris Burton: "He is a good player, but nothing is happening".

Why Oprah Winfrey should not run for US president
King, who attended the awards ceremony alongside Winfrey and Graham, said being in the room was 'electrifying'. A White House spokesman said Monday the Trump team would welcome Winfrey's candidacy, or that of anyone else.

"It looks like Sanchez will not extend his contract", the Frenchman told reporters when offering his latest update in a long-running saga. But in relation to Alexis Sanchez, I don't say a word.

Manchester United reportedly feel Zlatan Ibrahimovic's cruciate injury has hindered his comeback so they're now in the market for an attacker.

Manchester United stepped in the negotiations and are willing to offer more money and a player (believed to be Henrikh Mkhitaryan) for the Arsenal superstar. Everyone is onto what you are trying to do in the market, and buying the best players costs an bad lot of money.

"So he wants to fight as well for the Premier League, that's normal, when you are at that level".

"He surely wouldn't just say it for the sake of saying it, there's got to be something going on".

"Then he insulted me for a second time but now I change and now contempt and for me contempt means end of the story". It shows you that there is no one at the top of the club making the decisions that need to be made. As a manager, you have a lot of things to deal with, and you have to choose which one you want to be focused on. "And I have great respect for the plan of the others because everyone tries to kill you".
