Harry Kane becomes Tottenham's Premier League record goalscorer with brace against Everton

Goals by midfielders Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen on either side of a Harry Kane double handed ninth-placed Everton their third league defeat in a row.

Despite Kane scoring a brace, the Lilywhites' main man was without a doubt winger Heung-min Son.

That goal saw Kane equal Sheringham's tally and the England striker broke it 12 minutes later when he prodded the ball past Jordan Pickford from close range.

Christian Eriksen then smashed in a fourth from the edge of the penalty area after a fine backheel from Dele Alli exactly nine minutes to stoppage time.

While Sam Allardyce did his utmost, through mind-numbingly boring defensive tactics, to stifle and frustrate Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino's men were up to the test. Totenham's fist good chance fell in the 15th minute to Son, whose flicked header from a Christian Eriksen free kick delivery skimmed inches over the crossbar.

The 2-1 triumph at Vicarage Road was just their second victory since mid-October and they have since lost that home game with Spurs.

As Kane's scintillating form shows no signs of stopping many are of the belief that he will be the man to topple Jimmy Greaves' all-time record of 266 goals in all competitions and his manager is no different.

Avoid getting caught up in this year's flu snafu
The department has investigated 12 flu outbreaks in facilities around the state, seven of them in the last few weeks. Emergency rooms are full of sick people seeking flu treatment, and the waiting time to get care can take hours.

"West Brom becomes a massive game next week so we don't get dragged back into that relegation zone". In doing so, Son joined Jermain Defoe as the only Tottenham player to score a goal in five consecutive home matches.

Kane continues to break record after record as he etches his name in the history books for his goal-scoring feats which has the world of football talking about his future in the game and if his playing days will always be with Spurs. Allardyce felt Kane's opening goal could also have been ruled out.

Mauricio Pochettino has endorsed Daniel Levy's claim that no Tottenham player will leave against the club's wishes ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Yet Son scored the first of a straightforward win over hopeless Everton, had a hand in two of the others and also hit the post. 'Hopefully his ability and goalscoring ability will help us along the way, but we've got to get back to the basics defensively like I did when I first started'.

It's his fourth season in a row netting 20 or more goals in the league.

He said, "I think the defining moment in the game was we thought the second goal was offside, probably the same with Wayne's".
