"It was his dream [to move to Barca] and it is the truth when I say he left Liverpool for only one club and we really had to accept that".

We were fighting until the last second and tried everything.

"So far we got all the players we wanted to have".

"I can't understand Liverpool's decision to sell Coutinho now", he told the Telegraph.

"You know I'm not a manager who counts all the money and goes to the owners and says we need this". We are already used to it.

Liverpool is undefeated in its last 17 games across all competitions, while Premier League leader City has won 20 and drawn the other two of its top-flight matches this season. He might have reacted slowly at times in the market but has always picked up his preferred options rather than some compromised signings.

"If we do something then it needs to be the right decision", he said.

After putting pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal at the Nou Camp, which will see him earn around £12m-a-year, Coutinho said: 'I'm very, very happy. Do I think I can use him and can he help us?'

I can guarantee you that Pep Guardiola, if he was in a similar situation at Manchester City, would not have been forced to sell a player like Coutinho as seems to be have been the case with the Liverpool boss.

The Reds finally had to relinquish their hold on Coutinho earlier this week when the midfielder was finally granted his dream move to Barcelona.

"As I said, I like Phil, he is a fantastic player and his behaviour [was good]". You can defend it of course but it's really hard. It's a normal thing and we have to make the best of it.

At this point of considering Hull City's Meyler as a replacement for Coutinho, it should be noted that Kevin is a character played by Amsterdam-based, Cork comedian Richy Sheehy - something Kevin gamely refutes. I'm sure he's missing us - maybe he doesn't realise at the moment when everything is new there.

"We just try to do the things that we do well and then we will see what happens".

Speaking on Coutinho's transfer, Chamberlain said, "I haven't really even thought about Phil leaving", Oxlade-Chamberlain said, according to Sky Sports. It is incredible to know that I am going to live with idols, players with a lot of history. Always they were a good and stable team. "That's easy because we still have fantastic players here and if we have difficulties in the next few games, we don't have them because Phil is not here anymore - we have them because we have difficulties, that's all".

But should we dismiss Tennessee so quickly? Nonetheless, it may just be time to write a new chapter as a member of the Titans . Tennessee can certainly shock the world, even if no one expects them to. "I'm trying to go out there and win the game".
