Liverpool wants to sign Keita in winter market

Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign the midfielder in the summer for £51 million, which was set to be a club record fee before Virgil Van Dijk joined for £75m at the beginning of January.

"He wants to leave us in the summer".

21-year-old Maddison, who joined Norwich from Coventry City two years ago, has six goals and five assists to his name in the second tier this season.

Any early arrival for Keita may mean that the Reds will have to pay a premium to get their man, although the report goes on to state that Liverpool will not try and force the move due to their good relationship with the Bundesliga outfit.

"My understanding is there is nothing to say about it", Klopp said.

Since the World Cup, Australia have bowled sides out in 21 of their 50 matches, compared to 17 in 53 for Morgan's side.

"There are no inquiries or offers for any player who is on the pitch on or the bench for us today from any club", said Rangnick, who added that an increased offer would make no difference.

It suggests Leipzig need to generate extra revenue in order to not fall foul of UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

In one article, Bild repeated that stance several times, and it's believed Keita's concentration is drifting more towards Liverpool, meaning Leipzig are less determined to keep him.

But Leipzig do not want to lose Keita this month as they still remain in a battle to secure Champions League qualification for next campaign and find themselves in the round-of-32 of this season's Europa League.

Reds supporters watching their future midfielder in action were most intrigued by the Guinea international's celebration, or lack thereof.
