Bryce Love Returning for Senior Season

Bryce Love Returning for Senior Season

The NFL will have to wait another year before they see Bryce Love go pro.

Love's decision was the last notable one for underclassmen eligible to declare by the January 15 deadline. The Heisman Trophy runner-up's father announced the news early Tuesday morning.

Monday evening was the deadline for underclassmen to put their names into the draft. Monday's passing was an indication that Love would return to the Cardinal.

BP to take $1.7bn Deepwater Horizon oil spill charge
The charge comes as the blue-chip company winds down a settlement over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. It has cost the company tens of billions of dollars in compensation and other costs.

The younger Love finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting behind Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield. He carried the Stanford offense all season long with 263 carries for 2,118 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Love was rated as the No. 2 running back potentially in the draft. He's gained 3,123 yards in three seasons.

And he did it all while nursing an ankle injury through the final six games of the season. The running back has an opportunity to break the school's all-time rushing record of 4,300 next year. Accomplishing the trifecta will lead to greater prosperity on and off the field for Love.
