Haryana bans Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming movie Padmaavat

The Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana has banned the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansalis controversial film "Padmaavat", Health Minister Anil Vij said today. The film is finally up for release on January 25 when Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor's film will clash with Akshay Kumar-Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor starrer PadMan.

Before the Assembly polls in Gujarat in November past year, the state government had banned the film, which was earlier titled as Padmavati.

Nissan Xmotion hinting at future crossover?
This could only mean that the XMotion is a pure design exercise and there are no plans of spawning a production model out of it. Think of Nissan's new Xmotion Concept as a four-wheeled crystal ball - one that can look into the past, as well as the future.

"We want nothing less than a nation-wide ban on the movie", Karni Sena chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi said. In this meeting, I said it should be banned in #Haryana keeping in view law & order situation in state. Even in midst of the controversies surrounding the film, Bhansali is quite confident about his film, which has been slammed by various Rajput groups, including Rajput Karni Sena. "It carries the trademark style of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, wherein each frame of the film is a timeless work of art". Historians are divided on whether the queen existed.

"I would also like to thank the entire film fraternity for supporting Viacom18 and Bhansali Productions through the entire production and pre-release phase and hope they like the film they so supported".

The Central Board of Film Certification recently cleared the film for release with U/A certificate and a set of five recommended changes, one of which was the name change.
