PUBG Xbox One Patch Offers a New Control Scheme

PUBG Xbox One Patch Offers a New Control Scheme

While these quality of life improvements are certainly appreciated, PUBG fans on Xbox One have more substantial updates to look forward to in the future.

Improvements on the game's rubber banding issue have also been implemented, as well as enhanced server performance when parachuting in - so maybe soon we'll actually be able to see the fully rendered house before we've been on the ground for five minutes.

The PUBG patch was released only for Xbox One, and it continues the optimisation push that started with the first patch. After leaving early access (and reaching 30 million players) at the tail end of past year, it came to the Xbox Game Preview program on December 12, where it clearly has found an equally passionate fanbase. Players are now able to select a new preset, Type B, allowing you to aim down your weapon's sights by holding LT.

Holding LB to use 3rd person perspective aim sight. However, one of the biggest changes in the new update is that pistols are no longer grouped with primary weapons, and are now equipped by pressing "Up" on the d-pad instead of using the Y button.

This should have now been fixed with the new PUBG update, which comes with a few other performance enhancements.

Controller guide has been updated to include the new controller preset.

This new preset is available in the options menu as well as details on the full layout.

Fixed an issue where players repositioned out of the battleground after certain actions and remained invulnerable until the end of the match.

Players will have to take some time getting used to this new control scheme for the pistol though, at least until they find a main weapon.
