Liverpool midfielder reportedly likely to leave Anfield this month

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has joined Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season, subject to worldwide clearance.

Back in December, Klopp said of Grujic: "Marko deserves to play more now".

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is understood to be a fan of the 6ft 3ins powerhouse.

"This is perhaps the breakthrough moment of my career", said the Reds youngster.

Liverpool ended Manchester City's unbeaten domestic record this season in a 4-3 league thriller last weekend and Grujic could face them for Cardiff on 28 January - provided his parent club are happy to have him cup-tied.

Middlesbrough were thought to be interested, but the Daily Mail report that Cardiff have won the race.
