Lindsey Graham hits White House, says immigration fight a 's-show'

"President Donald Trump denied he is a racist Sunday, three days after he reportedly referred to immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and Africa as coming from "s--hole" countries".

The Post and Courier reported that Graham responded to Trump's comments by telling the president that "America is an idea, not a race". "It was a meeting of 12 people". She said she didn't "dispute the president was using tough language". "He used those words repeatedly".

During an oversight hearing Tuesday, Nielsen testified that she did not hear that specific word come from the President during the meeting. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., termed an "s-storm" with his Oval Office remarks.

The House of Representatives passed such a plan later in the day, a little more than 24 hours before the government's spending authority runs out. Marco Rubio, former Gov. Jeb Bush and Gov. Rick Scott, have repudiated the bigotry that Trump expressed.

Wow. Such an outrageous distortion, he said shithouse instead of shithole. The president, in the meeting, also questioned the need to admit more Haitians to the US, according to people who were briefed on the conversation but were not authorized to describe the meeting publicly. "I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed, that I can tell you", Trump told reporters on Sunday in Florida, where he was having dinner with Republican House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Trump wasn't apologetic and denied he was racist, said the confidant, who wasn't authorized to disclose a private conversation and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of SC, one of the six senators in the meeting with Trump on Thursday, supported Durbin's account. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., who told the truth. "President Trump said things that were hate-filled, vile, and racist".

The White House and Democrats in Congress are negotiating an immigration deal as lawmakers face a Friday deadline to pass a federal spending bill and avoid a government shutdown.

Graham said he would continue to press for a deal based on what had been tentatively agreed the Thursday meeting. I think, Mr. President, you would agree with me that it is time for America to clean up its sh*t in the Americas, particularly in the Latin and Caribbean regions.

"One of the reasons that he won and is sitting in the Oval Office today is because he isn't a scripted robot", she continued. "I stand behind every word that I said", Durbin told reporters in Chicago on Monday.

"It was noted that Africa and the African diaspora has contributed significantly to the United States and to its development into the country that it is today, and that the African and global reaction to the alleged statements clearly serve as a united affirmation of the dignity of the people of Africa and the African diaspora", Monyela said.

Trump has said he is ready and willing to make a deal to help the Dreamers, but he has insisted that funding for border security, including a wall along the USA border with Mexico that he promised as a presidential candidate, be included in any legislative package.

But Trump has made clear that what he means to do is halt or reverse the demographic trends that are making this nation increasingly diverse - trends that are wholly consistent with USA history.

"South Africa aligns itself with the statements issued by the African Union and the Africa group of Ambassadors to the United Nations in NY". Lemire reported from NY.
