Olympic gold medalist says she was also abused by Larry Nassar

USA Gymnastics has ended its relationship with the Karolyi Ranch, where former trainer Larry Nassar allegedly sexually abused many former gymnasts.

USA Gymnastics has since adopted a new "safe sport policy" that requires "mandatory reporting" of suspicions of sexual abuse.

Brennan thanked Aquilina for letting him speak and added that "it's more about her", gesturing to Anderson.

Today in court for Larry Nassar's sentencing hearing, Assistant Attorney General Angela Povilaitis read a statement from Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney.

Victim impact statements continue Wednesday as part of the sentencing for Larry Nassar, the former U.S. gymnastics team doctor. It's delusional. You need to talk about these issues with a therapist and that's not me. The former team doctor pleaded guilty in November to seven counts of criminal sexual conduct in Ingham County in MI.

More than 140 women and girls have said Nassar abused them.

As part of his plea bargain, Judge Rosemarie Aquilina allowed for victim impact statements to be read aloud during his sentencing.

"Dr. Nassar told me that I was receiving 'medically necessary treatment that he had been performing on patients for over 30 years, '" Maroney said in a statement she originally posted on Twitter, but has since deleted.

Nassar is scheduled to be sentenced in Eaton County in two weeks.

Raisman, who won three gold medals and hails from Needham, says USA Gymnastics did nothing to stop Nassar. Nassar pleaded guilty to 10 counts of criminal sexual conduct in November and received 60 years in prison on child pornography charges in December.

"The second that I realized, I told my mom and then we told USA Gymnastics", she said, via BDC. She said the abuse started when she was 15-years-old and training in MI.

Responding to Nassar's complaint as part of the hearing, Aquilina acknowledged the disgraced doctor's recollection of almost fainting at his December hearing but otherwise refused to play the sympathy card in the wake of 50-plus statements against Nassar.
