PadMan gets postponed, to release on 9th February

Akshay and Padmaavat director Sanjay Leela Bhansali addressed a joint news conference on Friday evening.

Superstar Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan which was supposed to release on January 25 has now been postponed to February 9. "He agreed and will be grateful to him for a lifetime".

Few days ago when the release date of Padmaavat was announced, the makers of PadMan were in no mood to change the release date of their film.

"We belong to the same "family" and I can understand that he's gone through a lot and the producer has made big investment in the movie", he said.

Bhansali's film has received clearance from the Supreme Court after having been opposed by the fringe group, Rajput Karni Sena.

While Akshay Kumar said, "It is essential for them to release it as quickly as possible".
