The company will concentrate on three areas with the investments where it says there will be the greatest impact on job creation. Apple will reportedly be focusing on three areas in the future: direct employment by Apple, spending and investment with US suppliers and manufacturers, and helping to grow the thriving app-store economy. Apple notes that new investments along with its current pace of spending with domestic suppliers and manufacturers is estimated at $55 billion for 2018.

Apple has earmarked about US$75 billion of the money now overseas to finance US$350 billion in spending during the next five years.

"I don't think that's a reasonable thing to do,", whose company has faced years of criticism for avoiding US taxes by keeping profits overseas and doing most of its manufacturing in China.

The President reminded the audience that he previously said he wouldn't consider his economic efforts to be a success unless Apple built plants in the United States.

He says the company has always felt a big sense of responsibility to give back to the country and the people who have made its success possible.

Apple's cash repatriation met an estimate by Goldman Sachs regarding the amount of cash that would be brought back to the United States by all S&P 500 companies as a result of tax reform. They continue to make these claims even as more sober analyses have indicated these companies are likely to use the lion's share of these cuts to reward wealthy shareholders.

Air traffic in Germany was also back to normal after several airports suspended services over safety concerns on Thursday. The populous, western state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the northern state of Lower Saxony were among the hardest hit.

Apple also announced that it plans to invest $30 billion in capital spending in the USA over the next five years, by creating 20,000 new jobs and building a new campus.

"Everyday, our data center serves billions of imessages, more than a billion photos", said Cook.

So far, Apple has announced it will open one new campus this year.

Over $10 billion of Apple's expanded capital expenditures will be investments in data centers across the US.

After the announcement Trump delivered a speech in Pittsburgh in which he commended Apple's plans to invest in the country's economy.

Cramer also related Cook's argument that Apple's investments would have a large effect on the economy.
