Out of the way: Wenger rules out Malcom January move

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be now leading the race to sign Bordeaux winger Malcom, who has also garnered attention for English top-flight rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.

Arsene Wenger previously, said "Malcom is a good player but nothing is happening".

Arsenal were initially thought to be most likely to sign Malcom but manager Arsene Wenger stated this week that they were unlikely to strike a deal for the winger.

The speculation linking Malcom with a switch to Arsenal seems to be continuing, but Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has now suggested that it is unlikely the Gunners will sign Malcom this month.

Apparently Arsenal were confident of agreeing a £44m deal for the 20-year-old's services, but Bordeaux have been playing hard ball in the knowledge that a number of clubs hold an interest.

Nine killed in massive fire in Delhi warehouse
Rescuers took almost two hours to put out the fire as the search and rescue operation continued late into the night. Delhi Urban Development minister Satyendar Jain said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.

He added that there were no further developments in either the swap move between Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Man United, or the transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"We think he could leave this summer if the club find the right offer, but right now we need him".

Malcom has scored 18 goals in 80 games for Bordeaux and is on Arsenal's transfer shortlist. "I don't want to speak about players that are in other clubs". I wouldn't say he has been disturbed by it, that's a bit strong, he's not disturbed, but he is asking questions.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the Bordeaux forward, while Liverpool are also said to be interested. "From our point of view, it's all hot air", he told L'Equipe. "They can always try, but they'll have a problem taking him from us".
