Browns hire ex-Steelers OC Todd Haley to run offense

The Cleveland Browns will have a new man calling the plays for the long downtrodden franchise next season. Given that, it is not that hard to envision some conflict between Haley and Jackson or Haley and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams during a game.

The only downside is that Haley reportedly clashed with Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin and Roethlisberger, which helped lead to the Steelers not renewing Haley's contract.

Haley produced impressive results in Pittsburgh, but his brash, confrontational style wore thin with Ben Roethlisberger and others.

In 2017, Roethlisberger finished 13th in the National Football League with a 93.4 rating, and Bell finished third 1,291 yards. Before that, he was the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2009 through 2011.

Now, there's nothing wrong with Brown as a prospect (I currently have him ranked in my top 10 overall), but offensive line is far from the biggest need on Cleveland's roster, and Brown is a bit of a reach in the top 5.

Trust in United States government, media, implodes as China's soars
The world's two most powerful countries, one democratic and the other authoritarian, are moving in opposite directions. The least trusted institution of all, as seen by the survey, is the media, which 22 out of 28 countries don't trust .

In 2016, the Steelers advanced to the AFC Championship Game and sent five offensive players to the Pro Bowl. They also made the playoffs for the first time since 2006. Haley also called the plays for the Cardinals in 2007-08 and prior to that coached with the Jets, Bears and Cowboys.

Haley will most likely be the play caller for the Browns, Hue Jackson has been the player caller for the past two seasons.

Haley had received a strong endorsement from Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, who was under Haley in Arizona when the Cardinals lost a dramatic 27-23 game to the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII on February 1 2009.

Haley inherits two new assistant coaches Jackson hired this offseason in receivers coach Adam Henry, formerly with the Giants; and quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese, former offensive coordinator of the Bengals.

Why did the Steelers part ways with Haley?
