LG Judy to be the Successor of G6?

LG Judy to be the Successor of G6?

While LG is yet to confirm the name of the upcoming smartphone, an anonymous source told VentureBeat that the company had codenamed the device as "Judy", and that it could come with a brand new design.

According to a recent report, LG's delayed flagship phone, possibly the successor of LG G6 or LG V30 could be launched in June. Front and center is a 6.1-inch 18:9 display that leverages a new technology called MLCD+ in which would be a departure from the current V30's P-OLED display. With a 6.1-inch, 18:9 Full Vision display, it's significantly larger than its predecessor, the 5.7-inch LG G6 (though it will apparently not be branded as the G7). The South Korean company is expected to show an updated version of its V30 smartphone with company's own AI assistant instead. But what about smartphone LG G7?

The LG Judy will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. The RAM here seems to be on a lower side, given the fact that most premium phones out there comes with at least 6GB RAM. It will be one of the brightest smartphone displays with 800-nit brightness and will consume 35% less power than a standard IPS LCD display. The panel will employ an RGBW subpixel matrix, with the "W" in there standing for white.

The LG G7 will also come with a pair of 16-megapixel (MP) snappers with glass optical elements and a high aperture of f/1.6.

Aiyaary Box Office: Jumps On Saturday, But Is It Enough?
Unfortunately, the film received scathing reviews and had a rather dismal start with collections of only Rs 3.36 crores on Day 1. Students at the college were highly energised as they got along with the Aiyaary star cast in a fun filling manner.

The smartphone is said to arrive in June this year. The device will carry an IP68 certification rating for dust and water protection. It will support wireless charging and offers the new AI-based camera features that will be soon introduced with the LG V30s smartphone.

There's no word on its pricing, but we should hear more about this smartphone in the coming months. LG is also going to debut BoomBox speakers with enhanced stereo music.
