Police confirm 18 killed, 22 wounded in multiple bomb blast in Borno

It was another bad day for the people of Konduga, Borno State, when three suicide bombers, suspected to be members of the Boko Haram terrorist group, detonated bombs strapped to their bodies killing at least 15 persons while 18 sustained injuries.

About 17 persons have been killed while 50 injured following multiple explosions that hit Borno State, North-east Nigeria.

The commissioner added that the total number of death was 21 including the three suicide bombers while the total number of those injured was 22 and normalcy has already returned in the area.

"I came to the night market to buy fish for dinner when I heard a loud bang some meters behind me and I saw myself on the ground, and before I could pick up myself another one went off, then the third one", he recalled.

USA Hockey Rebounds From Slovenia Loss to Beat Slovakia 2-1
Before the tournament, Granato was emphatic that it wouldn't take another Miracle for the win. For the Russians, it was a rebound from a surprising 3-2 loss to Slovakia in the Olympic opener.

The blasts happened shortly after another bomber killed four and injured 44 at a displaced persons' camp in Dalori, 22 kilometres away on the same road to Maiduguri.

The use of suicide bombers in crowded areas is a hallmark of the Islamist militant group, which has killed more than 20,000 people since 2009 and forced over two million to flee their homes.

The North East Zonal Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency, Bashir Idris Garga, confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

Earlier this week, the military warned residents of possible attacks by Boko Haram in cities and towns.
