Amir Khawaja, a seventh grader at the school, told WJW that he didn't know the student involved but hopes he will be OK. I don't want him to die.

"He said come get me in like an hour", according to mom. "I just felt really scared".

The student is being treated at a hospital for an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, which occurred after a student brought a weapon to the school.
