Sooners' Losing Streak Continues With Blowout Loss at Kansas

The Sooners (16-10, 6-8) shot just 30.8 percent overall and posted their lowest-scoring game of the season.

A Kansas win keeps the Jayhawks in line to win a 14th straight Big 12 regular-season title. Lagerald Vick chipped in 6 (his most since January 13), Graham added five and freshman big De Sousa came through with a career-best 6, as well.

On every national player of year watch list, senior G Devonte' Graham is scoring 19.0 points per game in Big 12 play and 17.5 in all games, which is third in the Big 12. The Sooners average 87.5 points per game and have scored at least 90 points in 12 of their 26 games - including six games in triple digits.

Kansas hosts Texas next Monday and closes at Oklahoma State.

The Big Monday matchup will tip at 8 p.m. CT and air on the Sooner Radio Network (KRXO 107.7 FM "The Franchise" in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa) with Toby Rowland and Kevin Henry announcing. Mountaineers coach Bob Huggins was ejected in the waning seconds of the game.

In particular, that means OU wings Brady Manek and Christian James, who combined for 7-of-15 shooting from 3-point range in the first meeting to help OU pull out the victory.

Oklahoma had the biggest lead in the game with an advantage of 34 at one point.

The pre-sale of Venezuelan own cryptocurrency " Petro ", which is backed by the country's oil reserves, has started. Skeptics say that concerns about Venezuela's financial solvency will likely limit investor interest, and the U.S.

Freshman G Marcus Garrett has started seven games this season. But if the Jayhawks win Saturday, two weeks from now might take care of itself.

The Sooners are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Monday games, 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Kansas is one of the top passing teams in all of College Basketball, as they are dishing out 17 assists per game. Azubuike scored a team-high 21 points.

The Jayhawks need to play tough defense and run the offense through Udoka Azubuike. Young is also the fourth player in program history to score 40 points in a game multiple times, joining Tisdale (five), Stacey King (two), and Jeff Webster (two). Kansas has 12 quality wins while Michigan State has three.

The Jayhawks' final trey of the contest came off the hands of Newman with 2:37 to play and put KU over the century mark, leading 100-70.

OU would have to win two of the three to ending the conference season four games under.500.

It will be interesting to see if the Sooners play Udoka the same, especially near the end of the game. The Sooners also entered the night having lost eight of their last 10 games, while the Jayhawks are doing that annual thing where they make everyone look foolish for even entertaining the possibility that they won't win the Big 12 regular-season title.

Remember when OU cut KU's lead to seven points early in the second half? Averaging 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
