McMaster's White House Exit May Be Near

McMaster's White House Exit May Be Near

McMaster previously replaced Michael Flynn.

Mattis was under a Tuesday deadline to send to the White House his recommendations, based on a review by a panel of experts, but White and other Pentagon spokesmen said Mattis' report had yet to leave the building and would probably be forwarded on Friday. Some defense officials caution that the President could also go as far as not to offer him a fourth star and force him to retire.

Still, McMaster could have a tough time back in uniform full time.

The timing may also be better to ship him elsewhere now, as in the Fall the administration was said to fear that ousting McMaster would look bad because it would be two National Security Advisers booted in less than a year. Obama never had to do this with senior advisors, none of whom would dare diverge from the president.

Meanwhile, Congressmen close to Trump do not believe that McMaster's job is any safer now.

A senior Republican source said Bannon had "poisoned the well" for McMaster with Trump.

On Thursday, the Pentagon referred all questions about McMaster's future to the White House.

"General McMaster is serving the president of the United States".

The White House did not respond to CNN's request for comment.

Neanderthals Have Similar Artistic Sense To Human Beings
Chris Stringer of the Natural History Museum in London is one of the world's leading authorities on human evolution. Indeed, at least 50% of Neanderthal DNA is still around today, so they are our ancestors in the truest sense.

McMaster was quoted as saying at a security conference in Munich, Germany on February 17 that there is "incontrovertible" evidence that Russian Federation meddled in the U.S. election. "Remember the Dirty Dossier, Uranium, Speeches, Emails and the Podesta Company!" One Republican insider explained that the tension between the pair comes from a difference in "personality and style", Trump wrote on Twitter.

CNN previously reported that McMaster has been at odds with the President and other cabinet officials over the a year ago.

The current commander of USA forces in South Korea, General Vincent Brooks, is expected to leave his post on a scheduled rotation in the coming months but his successor has already been earmarked within the Army but not yet made public, several officials said.

Another name doing the rounds is General John Nicholson who served as the commander of the USA coalition in Afghanistan since 2016.

She said that Mattis "will provide his recommendations to the president this week and the president will announce his decision" on how to proceed.

A top member of President Donald Trump's inner circle could be headed out of the White House.

A Defense Department official said McMaster is aware of the political sensitivities involved in a possible transition.

Officials say a search is underway to find a military post that would count as a promotion for McMaster.
