Wolves vs. Celtics: Jaylen Brown Suffers Scary Fall, Undergoing CT Scan

Kyrie Irving returned from a one-game absence to help Boston fend off Minnesota, finishing with 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists to pace the Celtics in a 117-109 victory over the Timberwolves on Thursday night.

In an awkward landing off a dunk attempt, Jaylen Brown landed on his head, throwing silence into the entire area.

The crowd at the Target Center went quiet, while Brown laid motionless on the ground.

After a couple of minutes, Brown sat up and then walked to the locker room under his own power as fans gave him a standing ovation. Fortunately, hours later, Brown mostly seems alright, though an official diagnosis from the team will likely come tomorrow.

Brown, who split the defensive duo of Andrew Wiggins and Tyus Jones on his drive to the hoop, converted on a slam dunk before his hands slipped off the rim.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Boston Celtics were breathing a little easier after beating Minnesota on Thursday night, and their relief was about more than just the outcome.

Tiger winds back the clock with ridiculous shot
Today, you know, made a couple birdies, all of a sudden that puts me fourth, fifth right away. Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth struggled, carding a 74 and 76 respectively.

Al Horford added 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists and tough defence on Karl-Anthony Towns for the Celtics, who stayed two games behind Toronto in the Eastern Conference race with their sixth win in seven games. "We're just happy to see him on his feet walking off [the court]". After his concussion test, Brown was reportedly taken to a hospital for a CT scan and other evaluations. They have three more losses than the Raptors.

"I was terrified", Celtics teammate Marcus Smart said. If that would have happened to a normal person, their obituary would probably be written right now, but this is Jaylen Brown, who is simply not human.

It clinched a spot in the playoffs for the Celtics.

Kevin Durant's 37 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks carried the Warriors to a 110-107 win over the Spurs.

Brown, 21, is averaging 14.1 points per game in his sophomore season after being the third overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
