Teen Waitress Gets College Scholarship After Act Of Kindness Goes Viral

Evoni Williams, 18, went viral earlier this month for helping an elderly customer at the Waffle House Texas eat his food.

Texas Southern University gave Williams a $16,000 scholarship, which will allow her to fulfill her dream of attending college to study business management. A picture of Evoni, an employee of the Waffle House, cutting up food for a customer who was unable to do so himself, was clicked by another customer and shared on Facebook.

The photo immediately went viral, with over 98,000 reactions and almost 50,000 shares. "My cook was calling my name to pick up food I had on the board, but I continued to cut his ham".

The diner, identified as Laura Wolf, posted the photo on Facebook.

"I'm thankful to have seen this act of kindness and caring at the start of my day while everything in this work seems so negative".

SmackDown itself is in dire straits lately, with poor attendance and a meager product that has failed to maximize its talent. The robed one has held the US title for just less than two months and it doesn't seem like it should end here.

"Somebody tagged me and it immediately, it just touched my heart", he said.

"It was so busy in here, and she actually took the time to stop and hear what he had to say instead of walking past him".

The City of La Marque reposted Wolf's post and commended Williams for her selfless act. "She has the character of the type of students we want at Texas Southern University". The mayor of La Marque proclaimed March 8, 2018 Evoni "Nini" Williams Day, which brought Evoni to tears. Evoni is working at Waffle House in order to save up for college.

In addition to receiving her own day, Williams' story caught the attention of Texas Southern University President Austin A. Lane, who also saw it on social media.
