Aditya Narayan Granted Bail, Fined Rs 10000 After Ramming Car Into Rickshaw

Aditya was released after securing bail of Rs 10,000 from the police station, the police said, .

While talking to a media publication, a police officer from Versova Police station mentioned, "Aditya misjudged while taking a U-turn and hit the auto-rickshaw from behind with his vehicle, injuring the driver and a woman passenger".

On Monday, Aditya Narayan, who was driving a Mercedes sedan on the back road of Lokhandwala, rammed into a rickshaw.

The accident took place around 12:30 pm when Aditya was taking a U-turn and while taking the turn he accidentally hit the auto rickshaw.

Following the attack, officials said huge contingents of paramilitary and police were rushed to the spot to take on Naxals. According to the police, bodies of all the slain CRPF personnel will be airlifted tonight.

His father, the much loved singer Udit Narayan, came out with a reply defending his son's demeanor and said, "Aditya has been a good kid since his childhood and he has worked hard". Besides them, Aditya too sustained minor injuries.

Kiran Kale, Senior Inspector at Versova Police Station, was quoted by IE as saying, "It's a bailable offence". According to Aditya, he will take care of the medical expenses of the injured people.

Aditya visited the hospital again on Tuesday evening to meet and inquire about the health of both the victims, who are now reported to be stable. "After we received the call, officials enquired about the incident with the locals at the mentioned spot, and from them we learnt that the auto driver had come out of his vehicle and picked up the injured to shift them to hospital". Police officers say that it did not look like a case a drunk driving. While Palekar is unconscious and is supposed to have suffered serious wounds, Surekha is out of danger but has apparently fractured her hand in the accident. "Whether the injuries are life-threatening or not, I will not comment on that as the doctors are treating them", added the officer.
