Here's when Apple will reveal what's next for iOS and macOS

Apple has announced its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will kick off June 4-8 in San Jose, again at the McEnery Convention Center, like a year ago. The yearly event has become one of the most important in the calendar, and not only for people creating apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

For the second year in a row, Apple will hold the event at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, as opposed to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, where the company used to regularly hold the event. Sessions Immerse yourself in over 100 technical and design-focused sessions presented by Apple engineers to help you build the next generation of apps using newly announced Apple technologies.

As with previous years, Apple is relying on a lottery system to address demand for tickets.

"Tickets are issued through a random selection process, and developers will be notified of application status by March 23 at 5 p.m. PDT", Apple wrote in a news release. Apple will then randomly select developers who can then purchase a ticket for $1,599. A broad range of robust developer APIs, including SiriKit, HomeKit, HealthKit, GymKit, MusicKit, ResearchKit, and CoreML, give developers new ways to help users take command of everything from their health and homes, to how they get around, shop and learn.
