Bihar bypoll results 2018: RJD leading in Jehanabad,Araria; BJP ahead in Bhabua

# After third round of counting BJP is leading in Bhabua & RJD is leading in Jehanabad after second round of counting.

In a major setback to the Mahagathbandhan, the NDA is leading from all three constituencies in Bihar. The bye-election results to the Araria Lok Sabha constituency will be declared today. Stakes are high for RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who spearheaded the poll campaign for the party in absence of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is behind bars in connection with two fodder scam cases.

There were reports of police resorting to the mild use of force outside the counting centre in Jehanabad as young RJD supporters indulged in boisterous jubilations over the news of their candidate Sunday Yadav establishing an unassailable lead over former MLA and JD (U) nominee Abhiram Sharma.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading in Jehanabad assembly seat of Bihar.

Araria: In Araria, BJP's Pradeep Kumar Singh is in the lead after one round of counting. Bypolls were necessited following the demise of legislator Anand Bhushan Pandey.

In Araria, a seat that fell vacant due to the death of RJD strongman Mohd Taslimuddin, the RJD has fielded his son Sarfaraz Alam, eyeing a chunk of the Muslim-Yadav voters who make up more than half the electorate.
