Eagles players get sentimental on loss of 'true brother' Brent Celek

After a day of no news, the Philadelphia Eagles are back at it again, getting a deal in place on today to sign free-agent defensive tackle Haloti Ngata after restructuring tackle Lane Johnson's contract to gain enormous salary cap relief for this season, according to ESPN reports. "His dedication to his profession and this organization is unmatched and he will go down as one of the best tight ends in franchise history", the team said in a statement. Brent embodied the city of Philadelphia's temperament and character with his toughness and grit. They cheered for the Super Bowl champ as he waved and thanked them. Unfortunately, in this business we are forced to make hard decisions, especially this time of the year.

Celek, 33, was the longest-tenured member on the Eagles team. An 11-year veteran, Celek was drafted by the Eagles in 2007 out of the University of Cincinnati. His breakout season came in 2009, a year that saw him compile 971 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

In the 2010 season, Celek's 65-yard TD play kick-started one of the most dramatic victories in club history, the 38-31 walk-off win over the Giants at the Meadowlands.

Walmart Will Launch Same-Day Grocery Delivery in NYC
Amazon is now rolling out free two-hour delivery of Whole Foods groceries in six cities to Prime members who pay $99 a year. The service would be rolled out to more than 40 percent of USA households by the end of the year, Walmart said Wednesday.

Tight end Zach Ertz has been one of the Eagles' primary pass-catching options with at least 74 receptions in each of the past three seasons. He made his first Pro Bowl, earned first-team all-pro honors and served as a key component on the Eagles' offensive line en route to a Super Bowl title.

The 33-year-old has appeared in all but one game with the team over his 11 National Football League seasons.
