National Basketball Association stars react to Michigan's win against Houston

Freshman Jordan Poole receives a pass from Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and just throws up a Hail Mary (mind you, while trying to coax a foul call by kicking his legs out) and absolutely rips the heart out of Cougars fans with a game-winner to send MI to their second straight Sweet 16 appearance. Houston may have broken the hearts of money-line bettors, but it did cover the spread as a 3-point underdog, and the game went under the total of 134.

After a timeout, MI inbounded the ball to Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, who dribbled past half court and dished to Poole, who hit his contested 3-pointer from about 25 feet.

Houston appeared to have other ideas Saturday, seemingly having the game in hand with Devin Davis securing a rebound and picking up a foul with 3.9 seconds left and the Cougars holding a 63-61 lead. MI figures to be a slight favorite against Texas A&M but an underdog against North Carolina.

He is also under contract for the next two seasons. "First of all we do the first few races and then we will know". He is the only Grand Prix rider that also excels in rally racing.

MI will play the North Carolina/Texas A&M victor Thursday at the Staples Center.

The Wolverines didn't have anyone score more than 12 as Moritz Wagner and Abdur-Rahkman paced MI. Against Houston, the Wolverines were shooting 7-of-29 from 3-point range before Poole's bomb. Davis added 17 for the Cougars, who shot just 37 percent. Houston led for most of the second half, and with 8:20 left to play, Rob Gray sank a jumper to put the Cougars up 51-46, but in what might've been the key sequence of the game, and with neither team able to score for close to three minutes, the Wolverines tied the game on one trip down the floor. The largest lead for either team throughout the contest was six points, held by MI on two separate occasions in the first half. But he missed one of two with 25 seconds remaining and then both crucial shots from the charity stripe late.
