Though we are not pretty sure, whether recently launched Nokia 8 Sirocco should be deemed as the true flagship of HMD Global (as it was previously thought to be the Nokia 9) or not. Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Moreover, the phone will use ZEISS optics and a big 21MP front camera.

Past year too, the company launched the Nokia 6, 5 and 3 series phones, but were released into the market at different time-frame. Joseph Umunakwe, General Manager, West, East and Central Africa, HMD Global, said.

According to Nokia Mobile, the launch of a new range of smartphones is based on the design, technology, and style. moreover, the devices will be equipped with the best of Android and Google services. It sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD pOLED display with slim bezels and a 3D Gorilla Glass 5 on top. However, the Nokia 1 entry-level Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone was introduced in the market last month itself at an attractive price point of Rs 5,499. Nokia 7 Plus features dual rear cameras from Carl Zeiss with 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors. It must be noted that Nokia 9 will be featuring ZEISS-branded triple-lens camera setup which would be technically superior as compared to the Leica lens used in Huawei phones.

Besides the two, the company should also launch the Nokia 6 (2018) today. The Nokia 6 was launched in India at a price of Rs 14,999 a year ago in August. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with Adreno 508 GPU. Additionally, the handset houses a 3,250mAh battery and supports the Qi Wireless charging standard. The new Nokia will be available in 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage options. On the camera front, there is a 16-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, dual LED dual-tone flash, and can shoot videos in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

The 41-megapixel sensor is said to feature 1.4-micron pixels, OIS, a wide-angle lens, and a variable aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4. On the back of the phone is a 12MP + 13MP dual-camera setup, while on the front is a 16MP snapper. It would offer 8GB RAM, a huge 6.01-inch AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an IP68 rating for water- and dust-resistance.
