You Can Sign up to Test PUBG's Newest Map

The PUBG team revealed late last month that it would be opening Savage to testing and player feedback in the near future. We haven't released content so early in its development since our alpha testing stage. The first testing session will run until April 5, 7 am ET.

It also won't be available via the test server to play, and will need to be unlocked by special keys that will unlock the map for only a select amount of people, which will only be up for grabs via those who own the game on Steam.

Authorities said Walters has had no previous encounters with the Zebulon Police Department, but has a lengthy criminal record. The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident, which is standard protocol for officer-involved shootings.

This beta test is going to be unusual in some ways as very few players will be getting to play the new map as the version players are going to play is very early. Access gives users their first glimpse of the 4×4 map and allows them to help shape the map's development over coming weeks. The alpha testing phase is said to only be available for a limited number of players. The only requirement to get one will be ownership of PUBG on Steam. The only potential downside is there is a chance this could make looting downed players less rewarding as they are likely to have weapons roughly equivalent to what a player already possesses. However, unlike Codename: Savage, the fourth PUBG map will feature the default, larger size of the Erangel and Miramar maps. This will lead to more PUBG matches with shorter times. The time it takes for subsequent circles to force players together slows down the mid-game by bringing a break in the action.

PUBG aggressively improving the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds experience primarily to keep in step with Fortnite, its rival in the Battle Royale genre.
