Jaime King's Son, 4, Struck By Glass After Man Smashes Actress' Car

"The release states, "[James] was secured in a child auto seat positioned in the back seat of the vehicle as the suspect jumped on the rear windshield causing glass to shatter and strike the child".

On Wednesday, actress Jaime King and her 4-year old son were involved in a rather weird accident. According to some unconfirmed reports, the suspect used a skateboard to smash the windows. The man was later identified as 47-year-old Paul Francis Floyd of Los Angeles.

"The suspect jumped on the rear windshield causing glass to shatter and strike the child", police said.

In a statement, Police also noted that there will be another investigation into the conduct of the paparazzi, who quickly swarmed the vehicle following the incident.

Floyd has been charged with child endangerment, misdemeanour battery, and two counts of vandalism.

Jaime King was rattled to the point of tears when a stranger jumped onto her auto and smashed her windows in the heart of Beverly Hills. Floyd is scheduled to appear in court on April 6.

A female friend got out of the auto and confronted Floyd, who threw a can at her, hitting her in the arm, according to the police.

The actress, who is set to appear in the new "Oceans 8" movie, was not in the vehicle at the time, but her friend was still in the driver's seat.

The BHPD released the following statement to E!

The police received several calls of vehicle vandalism - including "kicking and jumping on the vehicles" - before they arrived on the spot within minutes and detained Floyd.

Her friend was also in the vehicle, however Jaime's two-year-old son - also with husband Kyle Newman - didn't appear to be in the auto.

Bev Hills PD responded and nabbed the suspect near the scene.
