They were blessed with 69 wonderful years together, as well as four truly adored children, before Allen was sadly called home ahead of her November 29, 2017. Edward lived on, and farmed, the same farm he was born on until retirement.

She attended Louisburg and Goodson grade schools and graduated from Halfway High School in 1953. She married Ronald Koperski, and they later divorced. Church in Marquette. He worked as a carpenter around Hamilton County until he retired.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his father and mother of Greenwood; three brothers, Jaquevis Carroll, Derrick Adams, Jr., Daylan Adams, all of Greenwood; three sisters, Tavannah Carroll, Tyoona Fulton and Myliegh Meadows, all of Greenwood and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was employed as a housekeeper/maintenance person in area nursing homes. Carl was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Cadogan and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #4843 of Ford City. In earlier years, she taught religious education, volunteered at her children's school and took classes at RCTC. He loved restoring old tractors and going to tractor shows. She will be greatly missed. Now, after a lifetime filled with adventures and pumpkin rolls, Frances joins her husband Harold "Papa" Johnson, who has surely been spending the past 11 years smiling down on his girl, waiting for her to join him. Her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild, were the joy of her life.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; her parents, Lowell and Ockla Parscale; a grandson, Matthew Arnold; a sister, Barbara Dunseth; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Covert.

A funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, with the Rev. Thomas A. Loomis officiating.
