Billy Mitchell Banned by Twin Galaxies, All Donkey Kong Score Records Stripped

After a long-running investigation into the "King of Kong" Billy Mitchell's competitive Donkey Kong scores, scorekeeper Twin Galaxies has banned the player from the organization now andforever. Mitchell famously refused to compete against Wiebe in person, instead sending in a VHS recording of himself reaching a record-setting 1,047,200 high score, but it turns out the VHS recording of his play session held clues that Mitchell cheated. The doc continues to show Mitchell, attempt to, and unsuccessfully debunk Wiebe's score (though his score is thrown out anyway), to then eventually and miraculously sharing a video tape of him achieving a much better score which Twin Galaxies, the biggest tracker of video game scores, is more than happy to accept. The company commented on the matter as such, stating that the duspute was "meticulously tested and investigated" and the "veracity" of video performances exmained as well.

The big decision came after months of investigation and research from Twin Galaxies, which was alerted to potential rule-breaking by Jeremy Young, the moderator of a popular Donkey Kong forum.

Billy Mitchell is possibly one of the finest real-life movie villains of all time, and he's now proved everyone who hated him right, as he's been rocked by a cheating scandal. Any scores obtained on emulation software are not eligible for Twin Galaxies' leaderboards. Twin Galaxies' stats inform Guinness World Records superlatives, and Twin Galaxies has made Guinness World Records aware of its findings. The following investigation has led to Mitchell's banishment from Twin Galaxies as a competitor.

- While we know for certain that an unmodified original DK arcade PCB did not output the display seen in the videotaped score performances, we can not definitively conclude that what is on the tapes is MAME.

Iran fall in Federation Internationale de Football Association rankings
Egypt lost two friendly matches in March against Portugal (1-2) and Greece (0-1) in Switzerland as part of World Cup preparations. Germany and Brazil hold on to their places as the first and second placed teams, respectively, while Belgium rose to No. 3.

For those of you who haven't seen King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, it's a brilliant documentary about the rivalry between the top scorers of video game Donkey Kong and it's an absolutely brilliant watch.

An official dispute was filed against Mitchell's scores in August of 2017, and the investigation had been ongoing until today, when Twin Galaxies issued an official statement saying that, 'Twin Galaxies administrative staff has unanimously chose to remove all of Billy Mitchell's scores as well as ban him from participating in our competitive leaderboards'. It's a dramatic shake-up of the the official history of Donkey Kong, which nearly seems to necessitate a new final chapter to the 2007 film.

In addition to Twin Galaxies' own investigation into the dispute case assertions, at least two different 3rd parties conducted their own explorations and came to identical conclusions.

Now, with Mitchell banned, Twin Galaxies wants to use this moment to begin rebuilding its reputation. "According to our findings, Steve Wiebe would be the official first million-point record holder".
