Malaysia says 'No' to U.S. renegotiation

Trump withdrew the United States from the TPP in one of his first acts as president but said Thursday that he would consider rejoining it if it were a "substantially better" deal than the one negotiated under former U.S. President Barack Obama. "A combined operation with the armed forces of France and the United Kingdom is now underway".

This massacre was a significant escalation in a pattern of chemical weapons use by that very awful regime.

Trump chastised Syria's two main allies, Russia and Iran, for their roles in supporting "murderous dictators", and noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had guaranteed a 2013 global agreement for Assad to get rid of all of his chemical weapons.

President Trump did not go into the specifics of the attack.

The Syrian government has repeatedly denied any use of banned weapons.

Russian officials condemned the US -led airstrikes on three sites in Syria early Saturday, calling the attacks "treacherous and insane" and a "clear and present danger to world peace".

He described the main aim as establishing "a strong deterrent" against chemical weapons use.

"NATO has consistently condemned Syria's continued use of chemical weapons as a clear breach of global norms and agreements".

Moments after the US, UK and France announced they were striking Syria at around 2am UK time, several consecutive large explosions were reported around Damascus.

"To Iran and Russian Federation I ask, what kind of nation wants to be associated with the mass murder of innocent men, women and children?" he said.

It said three civilians were wounded in the Homs attacks.

It comes after Trump addressed the USA while British Prime Minister Theresa May and President Emmanuel Macron both gave speeches justifying the use of force in response to the "evil and despicable" poison gas attack.

The world is united in its disgust for any use of chemical weapons, but especially against civilians.

Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said in a statement that the president's decision "reflects his seriousness in addressing the scale and depravity of Assad's actions".
