NC farm recalls 200 million eggs

The eggs were distributed to Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia through retail stores and restaurants.

According to the FDA, 22 illnesses have been reported as a result of the eggs to date.

To avoid any possible outbreak of salmonella, a bacterium that can cause food poisoning and typhoid fever, no fewer than 200 million eggs are being recalled in the United States (U.S.). Afterward, Jack and his son Peter DeCoster each plead guilty to one count of allowing misbranded and adultered food to enter interstate commerce.

According to the FDA, the eggs all come from rose acre farms in IN and at least 22 people have gotten sick because of the eggs. The eggs have been sold in various stores, including Food Lion and Walmart.
