North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to convene emergency meeting on Syria

Russian Federation and Iran have warned of "consequences" as North Atlantic Treaty Organisation said all 29 member states were behind the airstrikes in Syria.

Vice President Mike Pence says the airstrikes on Syria "degraded and crippled" the country's chemical weapons capability.

"NATO considers the use of chemical weapons as a threat to global peace and security, and believes that it is essential to protect the Chemical Weapons Convention".
