Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar nearing return to action

Neymar's potential move to Real Madrid will not happen because he could never play at the same club as Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the agent who helped take him to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazil star suffered a fractured foot against rivals Marseille in February, with the injury initially putting his participation in the World Cup in doubt.

"Be yourself. Play your football and do not be intimidated", he told me. But the Brazilian recalled a special interaction during his first season at Barca. "Everything is happening normally", he told TV Globo.

PSG manager Unai Emery gave an even more confident outlook on his talisman's fitness, revealing that he hopes to have Neymar back for a few games before the season ends.

The 30-year old slugger has developed into an elite hitter, and he is now hitting.250 with two homers and 11 RBI's on the season. The Red Sox are likely going to struggle generating offense until the budding superstar is cleared to return.

Real have been consistently linked with a move for Neymar with reports suggesting he is disdapointed with the standard of French football since moving last summer.

PSG also said in a statement: "The medical assessment by Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar confirms the excellent evolution of Neymar Jr's injury, and authorizes the specific re-education of the right ankle and progressive full weight-bearing on the foot".

PSG have either seven or eight games remaining this season, depending on the result of their Coupe de France semi-final against Caen, and Neymar will be keen to return to action ahead of this summer's World Cup.

The last round of games in the Ligue 1 season are scheduled for May 19, but Neymar faces a race against time to play any part.
