New Kingdom Hearts III trailer shows off LCD-inspired

After what feels like an eternity in development, Kingdom Hearts III seems like it might finally be ready to release in 2018, and as a result we're starting to get a look at gameplay for some of the game's new kingdoms. The trailer shows a batch of electronic minigames that will include an old-school LCD-type portable machine that Sora will be able to use in-game.

The new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer was revealed at the Union X Dandelion fan event over the weekend. The four games shown are The Barnyard Battle, The Karnival Kid, Giantland, and Musical Farmer.

The games are inspired by classic cartoons of Disney and titles that were common in 1980. That's the hope, anyway, but then there's always the chance of Kingdom Hearts 3 getting pushed back to 2019.

The only difference - this will be a summit of heads of government, not including heads of state. The information was later confirmed by the External Affairs Ministry.

In the upcoming game, players will take up the role of Sora as he travels with his Disney comrades across a variety of worlds themed around and populated by various Disney and Final Fantasy characters.

Kingdom Hearts III releases in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Despite this, there is still no exact date for its debut, but we know that it will arrive sometime this year.
